Founded in 1992, the company maintains a fleet of three first class boats, each equipped with the latest in sonar, fishing equipment and controls. Our team of captains and first mates of Bluefin I, Bluefin II, and Bluefin III, have extensive knowledge of Conventional and Fly Fishing and Catch & Release Sportfishing. Their first hand experience in these local waters will help insure that your fishing trip delivers the most successful sportfishing results in the waters surrounding Quepos, Costa Rica.
The Pacific´s best offshore fishing, including all types of Billfish, Dorado (Mahi-Mahi), Yellowfin Tuna and Marlin are just an hour from our port, while the nearby inshore waters are home to a plentiful supply of Roosterfish, Mackeral, Red Snapper, Wahoo and Snook.

The company offers half-day, three-quarter, and full day charters as well as customized multi-day trips geared to the demands of the client. Both inshore and offshore trips are available. Rates range from $460 to $900, depending on the size of boat and the length of trip and area chosen.
Bluefin is actively involved with the preservation of Billfish in Costa Rica through the Billfish Foundation of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is also connected with other animal and environmental preservation efforts in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Bluefin recycles all engine oil and only uses diesel fuel that does not contain lead to help keep the environment clean.

Payment and Cancellation Policies
A 50% deposit is required within 14 days of your reservation request, and the balance is due 30 days in advance of your arrival. On cancellations made more than one month in advance, balance of payment is 100% refundable. On cancellations made less than 30 days but more than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival, Bluefin Sportfishing Charters will retain 25% of total payment. For cancellations made less than 14 days, but more than 7 days before arrival, Bluefin will retain 50% of total payment, and for cancellations made less than one week before scheduled arrival, Bluefin will retain full payment.
